Shoreline Amphitheatre Guide: Parking, Bag Policy and Getting There
Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View opens October 2026 with four shows in four nights: $uicideboy$ on Thursday, October 1, Hayley Williams on Friday, October 2, and Kehlani on Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4. General admission parking is included with every ticket, lots open about an hour before gates, and the venue is cash-free. The address is One Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043.
Shoreline is the easiest big venue in the Bay Area to park at and one of the hardest to leave, and that single fact shapes the whole evening. Here is how it works, in the order you will need it.
The four October shows
| Date | Show | Start | Also on the bill |
|---|---|---|---|
| Thursday, October 1 | $uicideboy$, Grey Day Tour 2026 | 6:30 PM | Shakewell, Drain, Black Kray, $lim Gucci |
| Friday, October 2 | The Hayley Williams Show | 7 PM | Magdalena Bay, Rico Nasty |
| Saturday, October 3 | The Kehlani World Tour | 6:30 PM | Durand Bernarr, Isaia Huron, TheARTI$t, WASEEL |
| Sunday, October 4 | The Kehlani World Tour, night two | 6:30 PM | Same lineup |
A 6:30 PM start with four support acts means the headliner is on late and the show runs late. Plan the trip home for after 11 PM on any of these nights. The venue's own advice is to arrive 60 to 120 minutes before showtime, and the shows page carries the exact gate time for each date.

Doors, tickets and screening
Your phone is your ticket. The venue tells people to download tickets to the Live Nation app before setting off, and will call needs photo ID matching the name of the person who bought them. Tickets cannot be left at will call for someone else to collect.
Entry is metal detectors, a bag check if you have a bag, and sometimes a pat down. Gate and lot times are published per show rather than as a standing rule, so check your own date. A recent show gives the usual shape: box office at noon, lots at 4:30 PM, gates at 5:30 PM for a 6:30 PM start, which is lots two hours before and gates one hour before.
The box office itself opens 10 AM to 2 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and from noon on show days, or 10 AM if the show falls on a Wednesday or Saturday. One more thing worth knowing if you live in Mountain View: the city runs a resident presale that starts the Wednesday before tickets go on general sale, and those tickets have to be bought in person at the box office.
Parking is included. The exit is the price.
Your ticket covers a space in the general lots. There is nothing to prepay for the basic option, and the lots open roughly an hour before the gate time printed on your ticket. Overnight parking is not allowed.
The venue sells upgrades for people who want a shorter walk or a quicker getaway: Premier Parking, Ultra Parking and oversized parking for larger vehicles, all through the venue's parking upgrades page. Whether they are worth it depends on how you feel about the exit.
The exit is the thing to understand. Everyone leaves along Amphitheatre Parkway to Shoreline Boulevard and then to the 101, and there is no second way out. On a sold-out night the general lots can take a long time to clear. The two workable strategies are to leave a song early or to stay put, let the first wave go, and roll out when the lot is half empty. Premier Parking is the middle option: you pay for the head start.
Getting there without driving
Shoreline is the one big South Bay venue with no rail stop. The nearest is the Mountain View Transit Center on Evelyn Avenue, where Caltrain and the VTA Orange Line meet, 2.5 miles from the venue by the venue’s own measure. From there it is a rideshare, a bike, or a bus.
Rideshare from the station is the common answer. Drop-off and pickup at the venue happen only in the marked zone on Amphitheatre Parkway, directly across from the pedestrian path into the venue; drivers cannot enter the lots. After the show, requesting a car from inside the zone means waiting with everyone else. Walking out to Shoreline Boulevard first shortens the wait and usually the fare.
Cycling works better here than at any Bay Area stadium. The Stevens Creek Trail runs from central Mountain View out to the Shoreline area, the terrain is flat, and a bike skips the exit queue entirely. Bring lights for the ride back; the trail is unlit.
Accessibility
Accessible parking sits in the C and D lots and needs a placard, with overflow in Lot A off Shoreline Boulevard. Tell the parking staff on arrival and they direct you. The accessibility shuttle picks up and drops off in the northwest corner of Lot A, near the Shoreline Boulevard and Bill Graham Parkway intersection, and takes people to the main entrance. Every entrance and every restroom is accessible, and the restrooms sit in both plazas and at the top of the lawn.
Accessible tickets are sold online like any other seat, and each one covers the guest plus one companion. Assistive listening runs through Listen Everywhere, so your own phone and headphones work as the receiver; the guest information booth lends a receiver instead if you leave a photo ID. The venue asks for two days notice on 650.967.3000 for a listening device, and two weeks for a sign language interpreter, which is free. Staff will store a wheelchair, cane or walker close to your seat while you are in it.
Shoreline is certified sensory inclusive by KultureCity, and sensory bags are checked out from the information booth in the centre plaza between the main gates.
The bag policy
Any bag larger than a clutch must be clear plastic or PVC and no larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches. A small clutch up to 6 x 9 inches does not have to be clear. Anything larger goes back to the car. The full list is on the venue's know before you go page.
Shoreline's dimensions are not the same as Levi's Stadium's, which allows 12 x 6 x 12. If you own one clear bag for every venue, a 12 x 6 x 12 bag passes at both.
What else stops you at the gate
The permitted list is short and specific: a clutch up to 6 by 9 inches, a clear tote within the size above, a non-professional camera with no detachable or long zoom lens, an empty refillable plastic bottle, food in a one gallon clear zip bag, a sealed bottle of water up to a gallon that is not frozen, a small blanket or towel no bigger than 6 by 6 feet, and a personal fan or mister that arrives empty.
The prohibitions that catch people out are less obvious. Umbrellas are banned outright, and the show runs whatever the weather, so a poncho is the answer on a wet night. Also out: coolers of any kind, glass, aerosol sunscreen, laptops and tablets, selfie sticks, action cameras, strollers and wagons, tents, signs larger than a sheet of paper, stuffed animals, eye drops and over-the-counter medicine outside its original packaging.
There is no re-entry. Leave the grounds and you need a new ticket to come back, so bring in what you need the first time. Tailgating is not allowed in the lots either, and nothing stays overnight.
What to bring for the lawn
The lawn is where Shoreline differs from an arena. It is a grass slope with no assigned seats, cold by the end of an October night, and on the bay side of Mountain View the wind picks up after dark.
Hard-frame chairs are prohibited. Soft seating pads without a frame are allowed, and the venue rents lawn chairs at many shows that have to be returned at the end. Bring layers. A Mountain View evening in early October starts warm and finishes around the low 50s, and the lawn feels colder than the number.
The venue is cash-free everywhere, including the lawn concessions. If you arrive with only cash, the guest services booth converts it to a card for free.
What stays home
Public cannabis consumption is illegal in California, and the venue's prohibited-items list and staff apply inside the gates. Shoreline is an outdoor venue, which leads some people to assume the rules are looser. They are not, and being removed from a sold-out show is an expensive way to find out.
The plan that works is the one that keeps everything at home. Order to your address in the afternoon, before you leave, and there is nothing to think about at the gate.
Delivery timing for a Shoreline show
Purple Lotus delivers to Mountain View on same-day windows of 1 to 2 hours chosen at checkout, from 9 AM to 10 PM every day, with the last same-day orders taken at 9 PM. Every one of these shows ends after delivery closes, so the afternoon is the window that matters.
| Your evening | Order by | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery to a Mountain View or Palo Alto address before the show | Early afternoon | A window that closes with time to spare before you leave |
| Delivery in San Jose before you drive up | Before 5 PM | Lotus NOW reaches most of San Jose in as little as 45 minutes; most orders arrive within 45 to 90 minutes |
| Something for after the show | The same afternoon | Delivery is closed by the time you are home; add it to the afternoon order |
| Pickup on the way from the South Bay | Before 10 PM | 752 Commercial Street or 66 West Santa Clara Street, both open 8 AM to 10 PM |
The Mountain View delivery page lists the ZIP codes and zones, and our Mountain View and Palo Alto delivery guide explains how the windows work in practice. Orders carry a $50 minimum and a $3.99 flat fee. First-time delivery customers get 30% off with code NEW30, and offers do not stack.
Where to eat first
Nothing near the amphitheatre stays open late, and the venue concessions are the only option inside. Castro Street in downtown Mountain View is ten minutes away by car and has the widest choice, from quick counters to sit-down places, with public garages behind the storefronts. North Shoreline Boulevard near the 101 has a handful of quick options within five minutes of the lots. Eat before you park; on the way out you will not want to stop.
How Shoreline compares with the other venues
Our live music venue guide for San Jose covers SAP Center, Levi's and the smaller rooms. The short version: SAP Center has Caltrain across the street and the best transit of any of them; Levi's has light rail to the gate; Shoreline has free parking and no rail. Pick the venue's strength and plan around its weakness.
